Why We Are A Part of the Christian and Missionary Alliance

This post was recently emailed to me from our District Church Planting Director/Hurricane Relief Director. If you take time to read it it really hits home.

Quoting Rev. Frank Smith:

Recently I heard our district missionary, Bob Hepokoski, speak at one of our church'’s missions conference. He reminded me why I remain a part of the Christian and Missionary Alliance. It is the emphasis we have always put on some of the most important biblical principles. He reminded us that we prioritize:

The Suffering of Jesus Christ

The Deeper Life of Sanctification

The Priority of Reaching All Peoples with the Gospel

Bob then reminded us of the prayer of Dr. Simpson, our founder, when he had the first service of what eventually became the C&MA,– and only seven people showed up He prayed a prayer of thanksgiving that they were few, poor, and weak. That is where God wants to find us. He can then use us through His power as portrayed in Zechariah 4:6 NKJV 6 So he answered and said to me: "This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: 'Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,' Says the LORD of hosts.
